1987

  • Pado Corporation established with investment from Ebara Corporation, Toppan Printing, Toshiba Corporation, Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank, and Sanwa Bank (paid-in capital \100million)
  • 300,000 copies of the inaugural edition of Pado Yokohama (hereafter referred to as "Pado") issued
  • Circulation area expands steadily

1989

  • Lnet, a subsidiary of Osaka Gas, becomes the first franchise partner and issues the first Keihan edition

1992

  • Business becomes independent of Ebara Corporation via a management buyout (MBO)

1993

  • Extinguishment of stock becomes effective(Paid-in capital \90million)

1994

  • Pado Club launched; members eligible for international credit cards provided through Central Finance

1996

  • Pado Design Factory Corp. formed (Paid-in capital \10million)
  • Tokyo Sales Office (Shibuya) opened in Shibuya, Tokyo

1997

  • Fields becomes the franchise partner
  • Inaugural Tokyo Office editions

1998

  • Circulation reaches five million
  • Inaugural Yokohama Office editions

2000

  • Pado Design Factory Corp. becomes the consolidated subsidiary of Pado Corp.
  • Allocation of new shares to a third party becomes effective(Paid-in capital \360million)
  • Digital Pado (an Internet version of Pado magazine) Yokohama-Kawasaki and Tokyo editions launched
  • Sales offices opened in Akihabara (relocation to Kitasenju) , Machida and Omiya (Saitama)
  • Inaugural Chiba Waterfront and Saitama edition

2001

  • Pado Corporation listed on NASDAQ Japan (22 March)
  • Seibu Development Co., Ltd. becomes the franchise partner( Nishi-Saitama Pado Co., Ltd. succeeds the contract)
  • Circulation reaches 10 million
  • Digital Pado remodeled; reopens as the Pado Town community site
  • Sales office opened in Nagoya. Direct sales launched in Nagoya area

2002

  • Inaugural Yokosuka-Miura editions
  • Sales offices opened in Sizuoka, Hamamatsu and Funabashi(relocation to Chiba)
  • Direct sales launched in Shizuoka area, Hamamatsu area, Chiba City area and Machida-Sagamihara area

2003

  • Pado(home edition) remodeled
  • Sendai Pado Corp formed as a consolidated subsidiary(Paid-in capital \20million)
  • Inaugural L'ala Pado edition
  • Cancellation of Nagoya edition,and Nagoya sales office closed

2004

  • Inaugural Padotown Magazine Hamamatsu and Sizuoka editions
  • Circulation reaches 12 million
  • East Saitama Sales Office opened in Koshigaya City, Saitama
  • Inaugural Hachioji-Tama(now Tachikawa-Hachioji-Tama City) edition

2005

  • Obtained JIPDEC's Privacy Mark certification
  • Sales Office opened in Shinjuku
  • Capital and business alliance formed with SOFTBRAIN FIELD Co., Ltd.
  • Tokyo Headquarter opened in Mita, Tokyo
  • Pado Labo Corp. formed as a consolidated subsidiary(Paid-in capital \90million)
  • Comiu Style Corp. becomes a consolidated subsidiary of Pado Labo Corp.(now Pado Corp.)

2007

  • Direct sales launched in Tokyo Tama area
  • Beauty clinic portal site BeYOU launched
